TRAINERS ASSOCIATION ONLUS is seeking to create, adopt and implement various innovative social initiatives in the field of social work and non-formal education providing service to disadvantage and socially excluded groups ( young people - included with special needs - long term unemployed, families and individuals at risk, older people, etc). The main activities of the organization is to create or adopt new psychosocial service for the target group; to provide them with information, counseling and educative activities; to initiate , participate and implement both local and international projects in the field of social work and non-formal education of target group. The center is trying to assure right of target group to different service which will enable them to develop their capabilities and skills; to become a major factor ensuring equal and full-fledged social involvement in the life of the society and represent the interests and protect the basic rights of those individuals.

SCOALA CU CLASELE I-VII NR. 10 "MARIA ROSETTI" from BUCHAREST, ROMANIA

School no.10 Maria Rosetti is placed in a district of Bucharest with a stable population formed mostly by middle-class families. The staff of the school has experience as coordinator of several European projects and besides the provision of formal education acts on the following fields: Advocating for the protection of the rights of children and mothers in situations of risk and emigrants; Collaborating with academic institutions, governmental agencies, non governmental organizations and advocacy groups in the development and implementation of social programs for the Rroma community; Contribution to public awareness and prevention of human rights violations through regular seminar series and workshops as well as
participation in national and international conferences on human rights, including trafficking in persons, womens rights, projects in collaboration with Orthodox Romanian Church, UNICEF and ONU,  encouragement of international scholarship and exchange teachers and pupils experience; promoting the use of ICT and multimedia-materials with the educational purposes and services.

MŁODZIEŻOWY OŚRODEK SOCJOTERAPII from OSTROWIEC ŚWIĘTOKRZYSKI, POLAND
COORDINATOR: ZDZISLAW KLUSEK

Socio - Teraphy Center for Maladjusted Youths  is for children with behavior disorder and learning problems.  Special school with a high concentration of pupils from pathological families and  orphanages – threatened by social exclusion and poorly educated.The social exclusion conditions reflects on pupils educative deficits, added to the families disadvantaged situations. Our activities are focus on educational  offer addresses to pupils upper grades of primary school and gymnasium suffering from behavior disorder. The main objective of our work is to diagnose pupils and reeducation. We teach them how to behave in stressful situations, function in the society. Apart from special classes like socio therapy Aggression Replacement Training , individual psychology therapy, we offer a number of post school  activities, extra activities which concentrate on art and sport activities. Pupils are over active, with behavior disorder, they do not want to attend indoor classes. For this reason we want to base our way of teaching on personal experience as much as possible. It does not concern trips but also what is important preparing lessons in an active and unconventional way often  outside the premises of the institution.

GÜLŞEHIR İLÇE MILLI EĞITIM MÜDÜRLÜĞÜ  from NEVSEHIR, TURKEY

Gülşehir Milli Eğitim Müdürlüğü(MEM) is a successful comprehensive Institution which is located in Gülşehir - in the Cappadocian region - a borough of Nevşehir. Gülşehir MEM has 320 staffs, 4.000 primary and secondary students, 523 adult learners and rules different kind of schools and institutions. It provides adult education as well as education for special need students(SEN) and other school students. The types of schools can be define as; Institute for adult education,technical and vocational schools,all kind of secondary schools,primary and pre-primary schools. The majority of the students attending these schools come from disadvantaged families, with unemployed parents who earn their living from agricultural activities. Beside our Institution provide courses for teachers and all other professions. Further more,It arranges seminars and
conferences periodically to the education staffs,head teachers,adult learners and students. It also has common projects with Nevşehir University,local authorities and NGOs.

SOCIEDAD CANARIA ELIO ANTONIO DE NEBRIJA from SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, SPAIN
COORDINATOR: JESUS LUIS-RAVELO

Our Institution is called “Sociedad Canaria Elio Antonio de Nebrija”. It is a non-governmental association legally established. We have the following structure: President, Vice-president, secretary, treasurer and 5 members from different areas (education, publications, institutional relations, projects and use of information and communication). We have 450 teachers. Our main objective is the permanent teacher training. We have the following activities: training courses, conferences, congresses, symposiums, seminars y participation in projects. We cover the following areas: especially language and media. Improving the process teaching-learning, expression and understanding (written and orally), working on the correct use of language in different circumstances (administrative language, economic language, business language, etc.) working on interdisciplinary (relating all areas through communication), working on multiculturalist, relating different languages, applying informatics to the teaching-learning process.

LONGMANS HILL COMMUNITY PRIMARY SCHOOL  from SELBY, UNITED KINGDOM
COORDINATOR: JILLIAN BAKER

Longman's Hill Community Primary School serves the children of the local community, from aged 4-11. It is situated on the south Side of Selby, a small market town in the north of England. Pupils come from the local estate, central Selby and some outlying villages. It has just over 200 pupils, split into seven classes. The school is situated on a pleasant grassy site of approximately 6 hectares and serves a mixed social and economic community. Selby is situated on the River Ouse, is approximately 19km from the historic city of York and has a population of 13,000. Selby is famous for its Abbey and canal and has an industrial past, both in shipbuilding and mining. Visitors to our school comment on the ethos, the focused, friendly, welcoming and inclusive feel the school has. Our families are closely supported by a parent support officer.

AIM OF THE PROJECT

The main aim of the project is to promote the education for volunteering as a component of European active civic behaviors. The project will approach its issue through two perspectives: theoretical information -volunteer’s skills, volunteering importance in each community, environmental and heritage protection, education for equal opportunities, education through sport and outdoor activities, social inclusion of the minorities, medical and especially virtual volunteering and practical volunteering activities performed in common by learners, trainers and staff of the partner’s organizations, promoting their activities at the national and international level.
